Our Process

The Commissioning Process

Each piece begins with a considered selection. Clients first choose their preferred shade silhouette and size, followed by a fabric from our curated Textile Library. Once these details are determined we invite you to inquire for a bespoke quotation. Upon confirmation of your order, your shade is meticulously sewn by hand and made to order in our Edmonton studio.

For those seeking something more unique, we are pleased to offer custom sizing and the opportunity to work with a fabric of your own selection. A swatch must be submitted for review to ensure its suitability. Once approved, your shade will be crafted to order with the same care and attention as every piece we produce.

The Atelier Process

Our bespoke bronze frames are first wrapped in cotton twill ribbon, creating the foundation upon which each textile is carefully hand-sewn. The fabric is then patterned, pleated, gathered, or stretched to suit the chosen frame and shade silhouette with precision. Once the stitching is complete, it is concealed with matching bias or a complementary trim, lending the finished shade a polished and finely tailored appearance.
