A BESPOKE LIGHTING STUDIO

Lighting Made to Belong

Mulberry & Oak creates lighting inspired by the enduring appeal of traditional interiors. Crafted in expressive textiles and detailed in unlacquered brass, each piece brings together material, proportion, and the unmistakable quality of work made by hand. Our lighting is designed to feel not simply placed within a home, but part of it.

The art of living well begins at home.

A home is shaped as much by how it feels as by how it looks.

The objects we live with, the light that falls across them, and the rooms that hold our everyday rituals all contribute to a sense of place.

Mulberry & Oak makes lighting with this idea of home at its center. Natural textiles, familiar forms, and the irregularities of handwork give each piece an individuality that cannot be manufactured into perfect uniformity.

The result is lighting made not just for beautiful rooms, but for homes that are deeply lived in.

Shades

Hand-sewn textile shades where silhouette, pattern, and the maker's hand give each design an identity of its own.

Luminaires

Designed in unlacquered brass, our luminaires bring proportion, detail, and permanence to the fixtures that carry our shades.

Made by Hand

Each shade is made to order in our Edmonton studio, where selected textiles are shaped, stitched, and finished by hand over custom bronze-finished steel frames. Linings are chosen according to the fabric and the quality of light desired, supporting the textile while preserving its natural texture and drape. No two shades are perfectly identical, nor should they be. The small variations left by the maker's hand give each piece the individuality and depth that distinguish something genuinely handmade.
